The compact DC low voltage porosity/holiday detector is used for detecting discontinuity (porosity, pinholes, bubbles/improper adhesion, cracks) in thin dielectric coatings (up to 500 microns in thickness) on conductive substrate including concrete. Audible and visual alarms will alert when a fault is found. 2 year warranty.
IMPORTANT: We highly recommend that coatings over 150 microns or coating in corrosive environments be inspected with a high-voltage porosity tester.
Standard kit includes:
- PosiTest LPD porosity detector, three AAA batteries, telescopic probe handle with 200mm x 40mm sponge and 78″ (2m) cord, 15′ (4.5m) ground cable with clamp, Ear bud, wrist strap, carabiner, user manual, calibration certificate, rigid transport case.
- LPD-B: PosiTest LPD basic low-voltage holiday detector kit.
- LPD: PosiTest LPD complete low-voltage holiday detector kit. Includes contents of the basic kit plus probe handle with roller sponge, internal diameter hardware, additional 8″x8″ sponge sheet for custom sizes, 24″ (0.6m) extension rod, adapter to connect extension rod, 40′ (12m) ground wire, 15′ (4.5m) hot wire, magnetic ground post.
Extension rod:
- LPD-ER: PosiTest LPD extension rod, 12″ (0.3m).
